EPF Claim Status – EPF Claim Settled, EPF Claim Under Process, Check Status?

EPF Claim Status: EPFO ( Employee Provident Fund Orgazination) a Govt. of India’s Ministry of labor and employment department’s one of the most valuable and profitable schemes for the people, for the employees. For those employees who are working in any Govt. job i.e State Govt. job or any Central Govt. Job. OR any employee who is doing a private job in any Pvt limited or limited company. Men, Women, Married, Unmarried, or anyone who is more than 18 years of age and covers under this Scheme.

EPFO Vision:

Vision to reposition itself as a world-class Social Security Organisation providing futuristic services meeting the growing requirements of all categories (who are working in any Govt. job i.e State Govt. job or any Central Govt. Job. Men, Women, Married, Unmarried, or anyone who is more than 18 years of age and covers under this Scheme) of its stakeholders.

What is EPFO in Simple Language:

EPFO or generally known as PF. Let’s discuss with an example. Say Mr. X is working within ABC Company. And his salary is 20,000/- with a basic salary of 10000/-. Than 12% of that basic salary will be deducted from his salary in PF component i.e 1200/- And the employer (company HR) will add the same amount in Mr. X’s account during submitting PF monthly return cum PF monthly challan. The 12% of contribution contributed by the employer will be divided into two parts ( 8.33 %+3.67%). 8.33% will be deposited as and in PF Pension Fund and the rest of 3.67% will be deposited in EPF account along with 12% of employee’s contribution.

Thus total 24% i.e 2400 Rupees per month will be added to his account. That employee can withdraw that money after leaving his service or after his/her retirement or due to any other reasons like death. EPFO also provides benefits of Insurance and Pension too. How to Check EPF Claim Status?

There are many ways to check the EPFO Claim Status. A user can check his/her claim status. Below we’ll discuss the methods to check EPFO claim status.

EPF Claim Status on Website:

This is the most used method to check EPFO claim status. You can follow below steps to check Your PF claim status online.

1. Visit the official site of EPFO (click here)
2. Enter your UAN, Password, and Captcha.
3. Click Enter, you will below given details

By following the above steps you are now logged in. Now, if you have worked in more than one company or organization with same UAN number than you will have to select the member ID of whom you wanted to check EPF claim status. Select that member ID and Click on view claim details.

Here now you can check the EPF claim status. Below attached is a sample of mine claim status of multiple claims.

 

 

Explanation on How to Check EPF Claim status:

Claim ID: When you have applied online or through the offline process, each time for each case EPFO allot an individual claim id to the member fo that specified claim so that that member can check his/her epf claim status online easily.

Claim Receipt Date: This is the date when the member has applied for the claim

Claim Form type:  There are multiple types of claims can be checked online. Few of them are form-31 ( EPF Advance) form 31 ( Transfer claim) and Form 10c/ 10d ( Pension Form ) and many more.

Claim Status:

There are mainly three types of claim status are :

Settled: This means your claim request has been accepted and has been settled. And the amount has been credited in your KYC registered bank account or will be credited within a day or two-three.

In Process: This means your claim has been reached to the EPFO officials and they are checking your eligibility to check and other formalities to complete the claim process.

Rejected: This means your eligibility for the claim is not reaching its criteria and claim has been rejected. In the remarks, you can also found the reason for the rejection too.

EPF Claim Status on UMANG App:

UMANG App Official App for availing online EPFO services and various other government services. This UMANG app has the same features for EPFO services as on the official website of the EPFO. Here using UMANG app registered user can view EPF Passbook, can check EPFO Claim status, Can apply online for Advance EPF or for Claim settlement and many more using UAN number and by using registered mobile number.

UMANG App can be downloaded from the Play store for Androids, from App store for iPhone users and from Windows store for Window operating users
