LABOUR WELFARE FUND is a legal compliance applicable to the employer and their employee. LABOUR WELFARE FUND is applicable in few states of India. Here we’ll discuss LWF Board, Applicability in state, benefits, rules, regulations and more. Under Labour Welfare Fund Scheme, State Govt. collects contribution from employer and employee. In some states like Haryana and Karnataka, their govt. collects on an annual basis. On monthly, quarterly or semi-annual basis in few states.
LABOUR WELFARE FUND Applicability:
Labour Welfare fund applicable to Sixteen (16) states, including Orissa State that was recently added. State wise discussed below in details.

Andhra Pradesh (A.P)
Andhra Pradesh LWF details are given below:
Applicability of Act: In AP LWF is applicable in an organization where 20 or more persons are employed.
Employees Covered: All employees except Manager or Supervisory level and an employee who is drawing 1600/- Rupees. Or more per month are covered under LWF scheme.
Contribution Period: Contribution is paid In the month of December and paid on annual basis.
Employee Contribution: 2 Rupees per month
Employer Contribution: 5 Rupees per month. Total 7/month by employee and employer.
Paid in favor of Cheque or DD or online payment is made on the name “Welfare Commissioner, AP Labour welfare board.

Chhattisgarh state LWF details are given below:
Applicability of Act: Applicable to each employee who is receiving salary or wages.
Employees Covered: All employees, there is no salary band for contribution.
Contribution Period: 31st July and 31st Jan.
Employee Contribution: 15/- Rupees.
Employer Contribution: 45/- Rupees.
Paid in favor of Cheque or DD will be paid in the favor of “Welfare commissioner Chhattisgarh Kalyan Nidhi.”

Employee Contribution: 0.75 Rupees.
Employer Contribution: 2.25 Rupees.

Employer Contribution: 20 Rupees per month.
