The Ministry of Labour & Employment which is one of the oldest and important Ministries of the Government of India is continuously working on improving the life and dignity of the Labour force of the country by protecting & safeguarding the interest of workers, promoting the welfare and providing social security to the Labour force both in Organized and Unorganized Sectors by enactment and implementation of various Labour Laws, which regulate the terms and conditions of service and employment of workers.

- Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) aims to skill rural youth who are poor and provide them with jobs having regular monthly wages or above the minimum wages
Eligibility Criteria for Deen Dayal Upadhyaya-Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY)
- Should be an Indian Citizen
- Between the ages of 15 and 35 years, eligible for the training programs.
- For women and other vulnerable groups like persons with disabilities, the upper age limit is relaxed to 45 years
